PROTECTING MESSALONSKEE LAKE AND ITS WATERSHED

MISSION STATEMENT

To protect and improve the water quality and natural resources of our lake and its watershed using science-based conservation methods, education, and collaborative action, for the benefit of all.

Ice Depths from 7 Lakes Alliance

With visits to North and East Pond yesterday, Team Aquatics has now visited all monitoring stations!  It will take a few weeks before all the chemistry data is processed.  Lots of lab time coming up.  For now, our lake scientists can report preliminary data like ice thickness.

Reminder: ice is never 100% safe

  • measurements in the chart are specific to designated monitoring stations.
  • Data collection spans January 8 to January 22, 2026.
